Facts about Salt Usage You do not Know Well

Salt is essential for cooking in the kitchen. But, do you know, Salt can use for beauty, health and household cleaning?  The tips for using salt are in the following….


(1) For cleaning the washing machine

Have you looked into the tub of your washing machine recently? With daily use, laundry detergent and dirt may start to accumulate inside the tub. You can remove all these and prolong the lifespan of your washing machine by adding salt. Simply fill the tub with hot water and add some salt. Let the washing machine run on a normal wash and rinse cycle – do check your machine’s instruction manual for more detailed steps.


(2)  For Natural hand wash

For a moisturizing hand cleanser, mix salt with baby oil in equal parts. Keep this mixture in a pump bottle next to the sinks around your home for a gentle, all-natural hand wash.


(3) For Deter ants

Are you worried about ants entering into your house? The solution is only some spoons of salt to solve. Sprinkle salt at doorways, window sills and anywhere else ants sneak into your house. Ants don’t like to walk on salt.


(4) For cleaning teeth

Use one part fine salt to two parts baking soda–dip your toothbrush in the mix and brush as usual. You can also use the same mix dissolved in water for orthodontic appliances.


(5) For Bee Sting Pain and Mosquito bites treat

To treat bee sting pain, you could immediately dampen area and pack on a small pile of salt to reduce pain and swelling. For treat mosquito bites, a saltwater soak can do wonders for that special mosquito-bite itch a poultice of salt mixed with olive oil can help too.

(6) For Skin and Blood circulation

You can have an exfoliating massage with salt. After bathing and while still wet give yourself a massage with dry salt. It freshens skin and boosts circulation.


(7) For removing blackheads

Mix a teaspoonful of Epsom salt and three drops of iodine into half a cup of boiling water. Stir until the salt dissolves completely and let the mixture cool down. Using a cotton ball, massage the warm mixture onto the affected areas of your skin with blackheads and let it dry. Wash your face with warm water and pat dry with a clean cloth.
