This place was a branch restaurant in Mandalay before it came to Yangon. It is famous for homemade noodles with different flavour profiles. Mogok is not in Shan State, but is nearby, and most Shan who live there offer a variation on strictly traditional Shan food. The steamed vegetables and chicken, mushrooms leaf-packed are famous. Daw Shan Ma
This neat and tidy restaurant sells various kinds of Shan noodles and different traditional dishes and curries. Fish-rice salad and pork sticks are the people’s choice from Daw Shan Ma and desserts are also worth trying. Fried banana with honey, steam sticky rice and fried pounded sticky rice are matched with homemade Shan hills coffee. Open daily from 7am to 9pm.

Nam Dao Kham
This restaurant is located in a small crowded street. It’s always filled with customers both local and foreign. The prices start from K500 up to only K1300, making it excellent value for the quality of food they offer. Sweet dessert like Sagu balls filled with chicken is mostly chosen by the younger crowd and other pounded papaya salads, pounded noodles with sweet and sour are popular. Open daily from 8am to 9:30pm.

This restaurant is 41 years old and their recipes have stood the test of time. The breakfast menu starts with Shan noodles and even for dinner, there are many different types of noodles to choose from.
